Haitham Elsamaloty, MD

Haitham Elsamaloty, MD, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Islamic Society Of Northwest Ohio. Toledo resident for more than 25 years. Professor & Chairman, Department of Radiology, University of Toledo Medical Center. Past Vice President, Chair of Finance and Treasurer, Council Member, Islamic Center Of Greater Toledo.

Farouk Barakat

Farouk Barakat was born and raised in the village of Sultan Yacoub, Lebanon.  He is married to my Amne Smidi. He emigrated to the USA in 1971 and has lived in the Toledo area ever since. He attended the University of Toledo and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (HVAC Major) and was self-employed for the last forty years (retired in 2018). Farouk served two terms on the council of Islamic Center of Greater Toledo and two terms as President of the Sultan Club.

Khalleel Bakhsh

Khalleel Bakhsh was born in Guyana, South America and migrated to Toledo over 36 years ago. He has worked at Libbey, Inc for over 22 years. He is married, has 5 children, and has been involved in the Muslim community for many years now, especially with the inception of the Islamic Society of North West Ohio (and he LOVES to love to play cricket).

Manira Saide-Sallock

Marnira Saide-Sallock was born and raised in Toledo. She is a member of one of the Founding families of the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo (ICGT), where she was part of the First Youth Club and later served as an adviser for many years. She served on the Council of ICGT for over 30 years in various capacities, including  Secretary (3 years), Treasurer (2 years), Chairwoman, Ways and Means, as well as Membership Committees.

1998 to 2000, she was President of the Ladies Auxiliary of ICGT, during which time she formed the Interfaith Tea Group and established food service from ICGT to feed the homeless during Ramadan. She help organize the Federation of Muslim Organizations, Greater Toledo Association of Arab Americans, and Dar-ul- Hannan Orphanage, in Lebanon. She is a retired teacher and manages real estate. She is married to Abraham Sallock, Mother of Slayman and Amira, grandmother of 3.

Mohammed Yousufuddin Ahmed MD

Mohammed Yousufuddin Ahmed MD is affectionately known as MY. He is originally from Hyderabad, India and have been a resident of Toledo for over 40 years. He is a retired trauma and general surgeon, the past President and Vice President of the Islamic Center Of Greater Toledo and the Founding President of United Muslims Association of Toledo.

Nadeem Salem

Nadeem Salem is a native of Toledo. He has a BA and JD from the University of Toledo.  He is the Founder and President of Salem Financial Group, LLC, a comprehensive financial investment firm (concentrating his practice on the needs of the Muslim community in the Toledo area as well as across the United States).

He  has been serving the Arab and Muslim communities of Toledo and vicinity since his college days. He has served as President of the Greater Toledo Arab American Association (GTAAA), founder of The Network of Arab American Professionals (NAAP, Toledo) Toledo chapter and has assumed numerous roles within the Toledo Muslim community. He is a past Council Member, Legal Adviser and Ombudsman for the Islamic Center of Greater Toledo.

He also currently serves on the Toledo Lucas County Port Authority and on the University of Toledo Foundation Board of Trustees

Dr. Shabana Farooq

Dr. Shabana Farooq was born and raised in Peshawar, Pakistan, and moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1994. Shabana is a physician at Mercy Hospital and enjoys teaching young physicians. She has served on the ICGT council and is currently serving on the ISNWO board. Shabana is married to Dr. Amjad Farooq and is the proud mother of her two children, Aiman and Sanam.
